È stata firmata a luglio la convenzione quadro tra l’Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma e la Direzione regionale Musei Nazionali Puglia nell’ambito delle attività svolte dal Work Package 4 del Progetto Enacting Artistic Research (EAR) coordinato dalla Prof.ssa Dalma Frascarelli. La convenzione è finalizzata ad ampliare le rispettive attività formative, progettuali e di ricerca dei due Enti, in riferimento a temi che possano essere svolti in comune, in particolare in merito alla comunicazione e valorizzazione dei beni culturali, oltre che a favorire la costituzione di una comunità di ricerca tra Università, Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma, i musei, le scuole e gli enti del territorio pugliese.
In riferimento a questo accordo quadro è stata firmata dai due stessi Enti una convenzione di progetto che riguarda la realizzazione di Hohenstaufen – the game, un’app di gaming a uso gratuito e a carattere educativo/culturale, finalizzata alla promozione e valorizzazione del sito UNESCO Castel Del Monte e del territorio di Andria, tema del progetto di ricerca della dottoranda Fiorella Custodero (dottorato in Scienze del Patrimonio Culturale, 38° ciclo, erogato dall’Università degli Studi di Roma “Tor Vergata” in forma associata con l’Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma). La realizzazione dell’app è finanziata all’interno del WP4 del progetto EAR con il coordinamento di Dalma Frascarelli e la collaborazione di Maurizio Gabrieli, referente per il Conservatorio di Musica Santa Cecilia di Roma. L’app sarà concepita come uno strumento di edutainment destinato fondamentalmente al pubblico glocal che comprenda soprattutto giovani e famiglie con l’obiettivo di coinvolgere in modo interattivo i visitatori; rendere accessibili contenuti storici e artistici attraverso la gamification; sperimentare linguaggi digitali contemporanei.

EAR Project: New collaboration launched with the Regional Directorate of National Museums of Apulia
In July, a framework agreement was signed between the Academy of Fine Arts of Rome and the Regional Directorate of National Museums of Apulia, as part of the activities of Work Package 4 of the EAR project, coordinated by Prof. Dalma Frascarelli. The agreement aims to strengthen and expand the educational, project-based, and research activities of both institutions, with a focus on shared themes—particularly the communication and enhancement of cultural heritage—and to foster the creation of a research community involving universities, the Academy of Fine Arts of Rome, museums, schools, and local institutions in the Puglia region.
Within the scope of this framework agreement, the two institutions have also signed a specific project agreement for the development of Hohenstaufen – the game, an educational and cultural gaming app designed to promote and enhance the UNESCO World Heritage site Castel del Monte and the surrounding area of Andria. The initiative is part of the doctoral research of Fiorella Custodero (PhD in Cultural Heritage Sciences, 38th cycle), offered by the University of Rome “Tor Vergata” in consortium with the Academy of Fine Arts of Rome.
The development of the app is funded under WP4 of the EAR project, with coordination by Prof. Dalma Frascarelli and the collaboration of Maurizio Gabrieli, representative of the Conservatory of Music Santa Cecilia in Rome.
The app will serve as an edutainment tool, primarily targeting a glocal audience of young people and families. Its goals are to actively engage visitors through interactive experiences, make historical and artistic content more accessible through gamification, and explore contemporary digital languages.
