The project represents an important opportunity for in-depth educational and scientific study, aimed at reorganising, restoring, cataloguing and promoting of the entire collection of the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome and includes a major exhibition in autumn 2027 at which the collection will be presented to the public in its entirety for the first time.

Launched in March 2026, the project will run for three years and involves students from the School of Communication and Promotion of Contemporary Artistic Heritage. The first phase of the project, carried out with the second-year students on the two-year course (Giulia Bonafede, Giulia Maria Capostosti, Sara D’Agostino, Francesco Palleschi, Sofia Torchia) and is nearing completion, involved the identification of over 50 plaster sculptures, including works by Ercole Drei, Arturo Dazzi, Raffaele Uccella, Luigi Venturini, Angelo Zanelli and many others.

Communications Office of the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome
Coordination: Prof. Guglielmo Gigliotti g.gigliotti@abaroma.it
Collaboration: Marianna Pontillo comunicazione@abaroma.it

Project curated by Prof. Francesca Longo, Head of Heritage at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome.
