Admission exams

Candidates who require accommodations to take an admission test must contact the Inclusion Office at the same time as submitting their admission application, or in any case as far in advance of the test as possible.

The request must be sent to:
inclusione@abaroma.it, attaching the certificate and indicating:

  • name and surname
  • the course for which the application for admission is being submitted
  • any specific needs
  • email address.

The Office will assess the documentation and inform the examination board of the agreed measures that are compatible with the type of assessment.

Educational accommodations

Students with disabilities or SLDs may request academic accommodations and individualised measures consistent with their documentation.
The purpose of the accommodations is to ensure conditions of access and participation, and they do not entail any change to the learning objectives or learning outcomes of the course.

Depending on the documented needs and the characteristics of the assessment, the following may be considered, for example:

  • additional time
  • assessment methods compatible with the student’s needs
  • use of compensatory tools
  • adaptation of the procedures for submitting assignments
  • support from a tutor, where provided
  • other measures deemed appropriate in relation to the documentation and the type of assessment or exam.

The measures are not automatically applied in the same way to all exams, but are determined by taking into account the documentation submitted, the student’s needs and the educational characteristics of the individual assessment.

How to request accommodations

The request must be sent to:
inclusione@abaroma.it using the specific Application Form for Educational Accommodations and attaching the required certification.

It is important to submit the request at the beginning of the course and well in advance of the exam session, so as to allow the Office and the lecturers concerned to properly organise the planned measures.
