Research programmes of significant national interest (PRIN)
The PRIN programme (Research Projects of Significant National Interest) is intended to fund public research projects, with the aim of fostering the strengthening of the national scientific bases and making participation in initiatives related to the European Union Framework Programmes more effective.
To this end, the PRIN programme finances projects that, due to their complexity and nature, may require the collaboration of several professors/researchers, whose funding needs exceed the normal availability of individual institutions.
