Artificial intelligence solutions and the deeply human art of inclusivity.

Course organiser: Layout and Display Techniques – Lettering – Web Design – Brand Design Prof. Enrico Bisenzi

The fourth edition of the festival on inclusive arts, #InclusiveArts2026, seeks to investigate how useful the now widespread practices of #MachineLearning and the increasingly ubiquitous conversational chatbots can really be in the field of inclusive design and the accessibility of digital platforms.

Students interested in taking part in the workshop (including to obtain the corresponding academic credit) must apply as soon as possible (max. twenty places available) to the project leader. Prof. Enrico Bisenzi e.bisenzi@abaroma.it and independently provide their own portable digital device (laptop, tablet, smartphone) on which to practise (one laptop per working group would be ideal).

How will it be structured? It will take place thanks to the cross-disciplinary participation over the three days of the most original, critical and analytical voice on the impact of ‘machines’ in our society, namely the writer and trainer Agnese Trocchi, who will engage in discussion with those who propose ‘AI’ solutions, but also with the students who are keen to test them. Joining Agnese Trocchi in the challenging task of assessing the impact of AI, with particular regard to the world of work, on the third day of the workshop will also be the “Human-AI Relationship Evangelist” Vivaldo Moscatelli.

The first day Wednesday, 4 February 2026 in Room 6B from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm Betterpress Lab together with Agnese Trocchi will analyse the digital interfaces of video games, social media, messaging apps and chatbots to understand what gamification is using the method of Hacker Pedagogy and by reconstructing the interfaces that are most present in our lives in an analogue way using the movable type printing tools (!?!).

On the second day, Thursday 5 February, in the ‘Fienili’ workshop space from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Numeriprimi from Florence will invite students to test the advanced version of the Content Management System ARCO which, through interaction with the most powerful “artificial intelligences”, such as Anthropic’s Claude, can facilitate numerous procedures for the semantic translation of online content such as language translations of textual elements and the creation of textual alternatives to multimedia elements.

On the third day, Friday 6 February, again in the “Fienili” workshop space, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., the Olimpyus thanks to the participation of Daniele Verdesca and Daniela Pellegrini will invite students to test the prototype of the OLLY app, which aims to create a “Learning assistant” using generative AI to support pupils with language comprehension difficulties, attention disorders, SEN (Special Educational Needs) or neurodivergences, even temporary ones, in their study of learning materials (the generative model implemented delivers a specific learning experience in an accessible and inclusive way).
