Series of workshops

A series of eight practical workshops with various professionals from the art sector for students in the final year of the three-year course and the two-year specialisation course of all courses at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome.

CASTRO Projects, in collaboration with the Student Council of the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, is pleased to present How To…?: a series of eight practical workshops to be held at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome from 26 October 2023 to 14 December 2023, led by various professionals from the art sector for students in the final year of the three-year course and the two-year specialisation course of all courses at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome.

The How To..? series of workshops – launched in 2021 – offers training, practical and group activities, designed specifically for the needs of each participant.
The workshops involve various professionals from the art sector, who offer their expertise for practical exercises aimed at providing young artists and art workers, at the end of their training, with some tools considered essential for the development of their professional career. A series of three workshops held in collaboration with AWI (Art Workers Italia) will explore with the participants the actions to be taken within work exchanges, minimum fees and the best remuneration models in the artistic field. Five other events, held by professionals in the sector, will show how to produce an exhibition, conduct a studio visit, design a portfolio, photograph your work and write a statement.

The workshops, held in Italian, are aimed at students in the final year of the three-year course and the two-year specialisation course of all courses at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome.
The workshops will be held in the complexes of the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, between the site in Via Ripetta and the Ex Fienili site (Campo Boario).

Places are limited. Please apply by sending an email to castro.academiaprogram@gmail.com, with the subject “Application for Workshop How To…?” and the following information in the body of the email: first name, surname, year and degree course, student student number and title of the workshop(s) and time slot in which you are interested in participating.
