On Monday 5, Tuesday 6 and Wednesday 7 June, the workshop curated by Prof. Gaetanina Campisi, “And the flowers too”, will take place for students enrolled on the three-year and two-year Graphic Arts courses.

For three days, students will be able to engage with Adelaide Cioni, an artist who has always worked with drawing.
The workshop will be based on the life drawing of flowers and plants, and the artist will present the students involved with her own methodology for approaching the relationship with drawing. On the first day, Cioni’s artistic research will be presented and the first drawings will begin. On the second day, there will be a visit to the Botanical Garden in Rome, where the students will be able to draw from life freely and outdoors, focusing on observing plants and flowers. On the third day, the students will return to the workshop where there will be a group critical session on the work carried out, followed by experimentation with a different format and drawing technique and with the monotype. At the end of the workshop, a portfolio of engravings and drawings will be produced in a limited edition.

Adelaide Cioni, (Bologna, 1976) lives and works between Umbria and London. She studied drawing at UCLA, Los Angeles, and graduated in sculpture from the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome (2015).
