The last thing I can say is this: I don’t really know what I am; I think I am, in general, an artist. Then, if one really has to give a definition, I think I’m inventing a profession. There is an absolutely extraordinary wealth in the world and the worst thing of all is that it has not yet been understood that knowledge is a pleasure. It is really a physical pleasure.
Alighiero & Boetti

On Thursday 16 December 2020, on the occasion of the eightieth anniversary of the birth of Alighiero Boetti, Sky Arte pays tribute to one of the great protagonists of contemporary art with a documentary on the artist’s life: Alighiero e Boetti. Sciamano e Showman, produced by Sky Arte and Riwi and directed by Amedeo Perri and Luca Pivetti, will be broadcast at 9:15 pm.
From 10 am to 6 pm, the film will be available for preview on museovision on the websites and social media pages of six of the main Italian contemporary art museums: the Castello di Rivoli Museo d’Arte Contemporanea, the Centro per l’arte contemporanea Luigi Pecci in Prato, the GAMeC Galleria d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea in Bergamo, the Madre Museo d’arte contemporanea Donnaregina in Naples, the MAMbo Museo d’Arte Moderna in Bologna and the MAXXI Museo nazionale delle arti del XXI secolo in Rome.
