Charity auction of Contemporary Art for the Charity Dinner IL CUORE DI FIRENZE – INSIEME PER LA CINA
Il Cuore di Firenze and Zhong Art International, moved by the urgency to send a concrete sign of solidarity and support to the Chinese population engaged in dealing with the Coronavirus emergency, are the promoters of the Charity Dinner Il Cuore di Firenze – Insieme per la Cina which will be held in the Salone de’ Cinquecento in Palazzo Vecchio on 15 March 2020 at 8:00 pm. The purpose of the evening is to raise funds for the purchase of essential medical supplies to be sent to China.
To make the event even more effective, the dinner will be accompanied by a charity auction of contemporary works of art, in which artists of all nationalities and backgrounds are invited to take part, subject to the conditions set out in this application form. The auction can also be broadcast online in China, thus acting as a real link with Florence.
At the same time, the initiative aims to convey to the Chinese people a strong message of sharing and closeness from the city of Florence, which is linked to China by a long and solid friendship.
Il Cuore di Firenze is a solidarity project that organises events and initiatives every year to achieve important goals related to social assistance and health protection. The institutional network behind the project is made up of Florence’s ancient charitable organisations: the Arciconfraternita della Misericordia di Firenze, Montedomini, La Compagnia del Bigallo, the Fondazione Santa Maria Nuova ONLUS and the Istituto degli Innocenti, institutions that for centuries have borne witness to the innate solidarity of the Florentine people.
Zhong Art International, starting with its offices in Florence and Beijing, has been operating since 2013 with the aim of disseminating China’s artistic heritage in Italy and at the same time promoting the dissemination of Italian culture in China, in a spirit of exchange and reciprocity between the two countries, geographically distant but close in spirit. It is engaged in the fields of art, education and the promotion of strategic and commercial relations between Italy and China, always with the aim of strengthening the cultural bridge between the two countries.
