Presentation of the volume Percorsi d’arte nella natura – Proposte e tendenze nei parchi museo italiani by Oriana Impei, sculptor and lecturer in sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, and Antonella Massa, art historian from Florence. The scientific publication is produced by the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome and the publishing house Gangemi Editore.
It is the result of a collaboration between the teaching skills and practical experience of Oriana Impei in artistic production projects and the research of art historian Antonella Massa. Without claiming to be exhaustive, eight educational experiences of art itineraries in nature, led by Oriana Impei, and a selection of nine Italian museum parks studied by Antonella Massa are presented. Each case consists of a descriptive text, a map and a short updated fact sheet, and is accompanied by photographic documentation.
Overall, it gives an idea of the artistic trends regarding the relationship between art and nature expressed in museum parks: a particularly emblematic and topical field that involves ecological issues, landscape protection and the cultural enhancement of territories.
As part of the presentation at the Academy, a conference on the subject is held with the participation of the professionals who contributed to the writing of the volume and who participated in the projects carried out.
