Cultural exchange between the students of the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome and those of the Academy of Fine Arts in Sanremo.
The project aims to create an opportunity for discussion and cultural exchange between the students of the “Design for Publishing” and “Digital Modelling Techniques” courses at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome and the students of the “Graphics and Illustrations”, “Interior Architecture and Design” and “Painting” courses at the Academy of Fine Arts in Sanremo. The students will be asked to present their work, in person or via video link, at the various academies during two dedicated working days, practising public speaking in a new institutional context.
In Rome, the Atelier Montez exhibition space (which has previously hosted important collaborations such as that with Herman Nitsch) will host a two-week group exhibition of the students’ work, which will also feature videos of their presentations.
A catalogue of the works on display will be produced for Edizioni Stamen in Rome, which will also contain photos of the exhibition setting and contributions from the lecturers relating to the teaching courses. The student presentations will take place in the last week of May: Tuesday 23 May (presentation by the students from Sanremo), Thursday 25 May (presentation by the students from Rome).
Student presentations: 23 and 25 May 2023, 9:00 am – 12:00 pm/4:00 pm – 7:00 pm
The exhibition will take place from 1 to 12 June 2023
