The House of Culture and Theatre – a 40-year history
Meeting with the founder and director of the theatre, Lina Della Rocca, and with the actors Antonella De Francesco and Cleiton Rocha.
For forty years, the Teatro Ridotto in Bologna has been a fundamental crossroads for Italian experimental theatre. Born from the constant and determined efforts of Renzo Filippetti and Lina Della Rocca, the small theatre in Lavino di Mezzo (BO) has gradually established itself in the “Terzo Teatro” as a hub and a point of scrutiny for the poetics, styles and intentions of “doing theatre” according to a line that, through Jerzy Grotowski and Eugenio Barba, openly refers to an anthropological-social dimension of the performance.
Today, Lina Della Rocca upholds the originality of the “House of Culture and Theatre” with her work as an actress, teacher and training “master”. In fact, Lina is part of the “Ponte dei Venti”, the transnational group founded and directed by Iben Nagel Rasmussen and aimed at researching and transmitting the principles of training.
During the meeting with the students of the Academy, there will be demonstrations and illustrations of actor training according to this method.
Participation in the conference is cumulative for the achievement of CFA.
