ABARoma Courses

The Open House Roma initiative will precede the 27 May event, taking place at the Via di Ripetta site on 20 May. The annual event, in which ABARoma takes part, celebrates the design and architecture of the capital, offering a unique opportunity to visit the hidden beauties of our city and, in particular, the main site of the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome. Traditionally called “Il ferro di cavallo” (the horseshoe) because of its architectural structure, the building was built to a design by Pietro Camporese the Younger between 1838 and 1844 and, at the behest of Pope Gregory XVI, became the headquarters of the Accademia di San Luca in 1845.
