What does it mean to be a student at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome today?
As part of the Proben project, the Academy of Fine Arts’ counselling centre offers a group space where students who wish to talk about their experience at the Academy can meet.
Three meetings of about an hour and a half are offered, led by counselling psychologists, for groups of
a maximum of 10 students.
“Based on the experiences of the students who use the service, it seems that nowadays the academic journey is often accompanied by a shared feeling of isolation, a struggle to develop a sense of belonging to the academic community, difficulty in finding spaces to discuss one’s professional future, and relationships with fellow students that foster the generation of ideas.”
