The exhibition organised by the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome in Pavilion 9, inside the former slaughterhouse complex, is called “Pulsazioni”. A project created through the collaboration between the Schools of New Technologies for Art, Artistic Design for Business and Art Education, with a particular focus on creative research related to new media and the languages of technology: video, photography, sound, net art.
All students, including those exhibiting and those in charge of the artistic and scientific project. The exhibition is in fact curated by Generazione H, a group of students on the Two-Year Communication and Art Education course, specialising in curation. They are the ones who chose the 15 young participating artists through a call for entries: Giulia Barone, Constantin Bicajanu, Giulia Blasi, Alex Fanelli, Veronica Foggia, Ambra Lupini, Andrea Massimi, Eleonora Mattozzi, Salim Mir Alaiee, Karen Ortega, Nausicaa Pellei, Giulia Saetta, Ciro Scardamaglio, Aria Shakhsar, Maria Giovanna Sodero.
They are joined by the performers Lucia Bricco, Andryi Helytovych and Florence Lam, for a special section curated by Francesca Lilli.

Growing up in the midst of the digital boom, no longer pioneers or wary, accustomed to multimedia as routine, amid maximum acceleration, dematerialisation, interactivity and perceptual extension, how do the very young conceive of the technological vocation of art, in a context of total contamination and exchange between languages? The exhibition at the Mattatoio attempts to answer this question by presenting some audio-visual experiments that start from new media and the digital medium, to highlight their indispensable, vital nature: continuous “pulsations”, from which light, protean universes rooted in everyday life originate.
