The “5500 K” workshop proposed for the 2025/2026 academic year, organised by Prof. Cinque of the Painting course, aims to introduce the participating students from the three-year and two-year courses to new figures in the field of visual arts.
The meeting will be held with the artist Krizia Galfo, who will talk about her research work in painting, exploring the technique of oil painting and the creation of a work in every minute detail, from the photoshoot to the completion of the painting.
The title of the workshop refers to the colour temperature of the light used during the photo shoots, precisely to emphasise the importance of design. Particular attention will also be paid to drapery and still life, which can create narratives and convey emotional tension.
The educational objective of the “5500 K” workshop is to reinforce the theme and technique of creating a work of art.
At the end of the workshop, a day will be organised for the presentation of all the work carried out by the participating students.
Day 1:
Study of the key elements of an image: perspective, composition, colour. Basics of oil paint. Set construction (props and lighting design). Shooting with corresponding image processing. Drawing and initial application of colour.
Day 2: In-depth
study of the palette consisting solely of primary colours with different temperatures. Second application of colour. Comparison and review of the works.
Day 3:
