Paola Ricci is an interdisciplinary artist, whose artistic research revolves around space, emptiness and the sound of air. For years, she has been working systematically on site-specific projects in a synaesthetic way with theoretical architecture.
According to the artist, “art is a natural project. The artistic event is a study project between natural science and art in its development. The universe is commonly defined as the totality of existence. There is a simplicity of the true, not to achieve realistic painting, but to make “the infinitely distant” and “the infinitely close” appear true at the same time. The multiverse is the hypothetical set of infinite or finite possible universes, which together comprise everything that exists and can exist: the totality of space, time, matter and energy.
The bodily and tactile execution to create large-scale images requires complete absorption and concentration on both the physicality of the act and the intellectual interpretation of the narratives. The images and words are not intended to explain anything, but to involve the viewer, so that they can create a representation of the cosmos in their own mind.”
