Thursday 7, Friday 8, Saturday 9,
Monday 11 and Tuesday 12 November 2024
Organised by the School of Painting of Prof. Vincenzo Cinque, with the participation of the School of Painting of Prof. Alfredo Pirri,Aimed at students enrolled in the three-year and two-year Painting courses.
The Painting course aims to introduce the participating students to new figures in the field of visual arts, “artist-curators” of new independent art spaces operating in the city of Rome.
The meeting is organised with the artist Paolo Assenza, who will talk about his research work in painting as a testimony of his time, also presenting his experience as an artist-curator of “SpazioY”.
The development methods for the participating students will focus on how an artist can simultaneously curate two research spaces: one physical space for their own work, and the other which in turn hosts works by other artists.
The educational objective of the workshop “Opere nell’opera” is to trigger a “creative reaction” to develop an educational project on the theme addressed during the days of the meeting with the artist. Each student will present their own research work formulated and developed from their experience, discussion and interaction with the artist Paolo Assenza.
