The aim of the workshop is to illustrate those aspects of the camera operator’s work that are necessary to translate a story, a television show or a theatre production into images: one of them is the search for the most effective positions of the camera. Because each “point of view” we choose must effectively convey the content and, together with the other shots chosen, must contribute to building a sequence suitable for telling what is happening on the scene. The most important variations of shooting will be illustrated: cinematographic, television and video art, focusing on the choral aspect of the audiovisual production process.
The workshop will be both practical and theoretical. Through the critical commentary of a number of films and through exercises in the classroom, we will study the different possibilities for representing a subject and the specific requirements of audiovisual filming.
The practical exercises will be carried out by bringing the students together in small groups.

Programme
