Explanatory note on the workshop
I ask myself, “WHAT IS A PERFORMANCE?”.
Perhaps your body will be able to give different answers.
Will they be different from what we will see from some artists who do Performance?
Perhaps in the end, you won’t discover anything for certain, but you will certainly discover something that will be your becoming.
“Sometimes doing something leads to nothing” could be our paradox, and we might discover that the body is full of surprises and doubts. Uncertainty is an art, and each limb of your body says something different; perhaps together we will discover that the energy of your body reveals aspects that you need to learn to listen to.
Every threshold you cross leaves something behind, which ends up transforming you, and beyond this boundary lies your sacredness.
The workshop is open to students from the Department of Visual Arts and New Technologies for Art.
Max 30 places.
Students who intend to attend the five sessions must come wearing comfortable clothing that is all black and without any visible branding or other features. Bring a white paper or plastic mask.
Bring a lightweight cotton scarf, white or black, preferably both colours, with no writing or decoration of any kind. Bring a blank notebook without squares or lines, and coloured pencils and graphite pencils.
