Bobbio Film Festival:
Participants in the Film Criticism Seminar will have the opportunity to:
- Free access to the Bobbio Film Festival screenings
- Be part of the official Bobbio Film Festival jury
Meetings are planned with guest artists during the Bobbio Film Festival.

- Film criticism yesterday and today
- Criticising, or analysing; the game of roles: the critic, the film’s author, the reader
- Getting to know the film to get to know oneself; the organisation of the critical text
- Film and critical writing: a comparison of languages; signifier and signified of critical discourse
- The pleasure of the text
- The pleasure of the context, the film as a historical object
- The figure in the carpet: the critic as detective; what the author, critic and viewer know
- Understanding and interpreting the film; pleasure/displeasure
- The politics of the creators; politics and the creators
- The filmic specific
- The teaching of cinema; schools and universities
- All cinema, everything in cinema and cinema in everything; the critic-director, cinephilia and citations in the text
- Individual and collective style, genres, gender and rules
- Criticism and new media: sustainable development of critical skills
Registration, Admission, Deadline:
The seminar has a limited number of places. Anyone wishing to participate must send an email requesting to participate in the seminar, attaching an unpublished and original review (length 3,000 characters, including spaces) of an Italian film released in cinemas between 2021 and 2022, to the email address critica@fondazionefarecinema.it, no later than 25 July 2022.
Enrolment on the course is free. A certificate of attendance will be issued at the end.
